Nike tapped us to create an experience that celebrates 17 years of Nike Basketball in NYC for their Zoom City campaign during all star weekend. 1000 attendees received custom designed premium tokens for their skills. Each token was redeemable for rewards such as 3D printed sneakers, premiere sneakers, Nike ID sessions, and entry to exclusive Nike All-Star events.

Merging the idea of the bank with basketball, we created a hybrid analog/digital experience, combining a token reward system with fun tangible interactive games. We concepted and made custom pop-a-shots called Pop-a-Locks. These games captured the essence of iconic NYC locations like MSG, the subway and the W. 4th courts. Players had to beat Kobe’s classic 61 point score and KD’s classic 66 point score.

We also devised another game with two sides of large tactile buttons called Cypher Station –  a fast paced trivia game that tested guest’s knowledge of the sport and brand. One side was inspired by Nike sneakers like the Blazer, KDVi, Kobe 6, Lebron 10 and others. The other side had historic NYC basketball locations like Dyckman Park, The Cage, ASW games and Christ the King HS.
